!MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT
Ben O. Knight of near Parkville, Mo., about seventeen miles out of Kansas City, and Miss Inez Lewis, daughter of Mr. J.B. Lewis, of Des Arc, this county, were united in marriage Sunday evening at Piedmont by Rev. J.R. Bullington at the Methodist Parsonage. The ceremony took place at 7:30 o'clock. Miss Lewis, who has been employed in the state health department at Jefferson City for several years, is well known by residents here and in the south end, who wish her every happiness at this time. She has resigned her position in the state health department and the newlyweds will make their home near Parkville after enjoying a two weeks' trip through the Southland. The bride is a sister-in-law to Circuit Clerk and Recorder R.C. Jones.
The Register offers very best wishes and tenders congratulations to this happy young couple.

Inez Mildred Knight died at Bishop Spencer Place on June 25, 2003. She was born on May 27, 1911 in Des Arc, MO. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 28, 2003, at 11 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Stine & McClure Chapel. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.at the chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
In 1941 while working at the Missouri State Health Department, Inez married Ben O. Knight. They resided in Platte County on a farm until 1966. After that time she lived in her home in Kansas City, MO until she entered Bishop Spencer Place. Among Mrs. Knight's many interests were Women's City Club, The Friends of Art of the Nelson Atkins Museum, The Children's Mercy Hospital Cardiac Auxiliary, The KC Museum Auxiliary, The University of Missouri Conservatory of Music, The Janet Boone Service Club, and St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Inez Knight leaves two children, Sarah and Ben Knight Jr.; six grandchildren, Anastasia Oldham, Ben Knight III, Ashley Knight, Heather Baker, Quent Sutherland, Jay Sutherland; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves the following sister and brothers,Vela Nichols, Buford Lewis, Carter Lewis, and Howard Lewis.
