He served his country with the U.S. Army and transferred to Redstone Arsenal, where he met his wife Jo Ann. He enjoyed UAH hockey, was an active UAH alumni and enjoyed fishing and golf. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Jo Ann; daughters, Lynn Brooks and fiance Jon Newby of Huntsville, and Beverly White and husband Tommy of Union Grove; grandchildren, Ryan Patterson, Dustin Berry and wife Lisa, Tom White and Rebecca White; and several nieces and nephews.
