Lora Mae Lewis, 96, Piedmont, died Friday, July25,2008, in the Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, in Piedmont.
She was born on May 23,1912, in Piedmont, daughter of the late Fred Oscar and Mary Belle Hill Melton.
She was a member of the New Liberty United Baptist Church and she worked as a CNA for a nursing home.
She was united in marriage to Roger "Gay" Lewis on March 15,1941, and he preceded her in death on May 3,1962.
She is survived by three sons, Harold Lewis, Fenton, Hadley Lewis, Patterson, Kenneth Richard Lewis, High Ridge; two daughters, Mary Fenimore, Florissant, Sue Hill, Piedmont; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Norma Gilland; one sister, Evelyn Wishett; and one granddaughter.
The funeral was held July 27,2008, at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont with Pastor Bob Webb officiating. Bill and Pat Dickerson, Freida Sigman, Margie Cook, Rendell Wills, and Juanita Davis sang. Sandy Ross played piano.
Pallbearers were Hadley, Harold, Rick, Steven, and Austin Lewis, and Shane Fraley. Burial followed at Greenhill Cemetery in Piemont
