    From Findagrave.com:

Solomon Franklin King (known as Uncle Sol to his relatives) was the third of six known children of James King (b. c1800 at Rutherford County, North Carolina; d. c1838-1840 at Madison County, Missouri) and Nancy Adams Tennison King (b. 1803 at Rowan County, North Carolina; d. Mar 1870 at Madison County, Missouri), who married c1824 in Tennessee? (or North Carolina?).

Solomon married Permelia Isabelle Ross (1835-c1921) on 20 Mar 1853 in Missouri (probably Wayne County, but the Wayne County marriage records burned many years later). Uncle Sol and Permelia are buried in unmarked graves. Permelia was living at the time of Uncle Sol's death, but there doesn't seem to be a death certificiate for her. Uncle Sol died at Liberty Township, Madison County, Missouri.

Solomon and Permelia were the parents of six known children, four boys and two girls, namely:

    1. George Washington King (1854-1917)
    2. James Smith King (1855-1910)
    3. Sarah Melvina King (1857-c1926)
    4. William Earl King (1860-1946)
    5. Henry B. King (1862-1944)
    6. Nancy Jane King Minor Young (1866-1939)

In addition, Sol and Permelia raised John Henry King (1889-1958), who was a son of their son, Henry B. King. Henry's first wife died in child-birth and Sol and Permelia took their grandson in with them

We are all pleased that God spared Uncle Saul to see so many generations in his family, a blessing not given to many.
Uncle Saul endured hardships in his early married life that would make the young men of today very much discouraged. Uncle Saul shouldered his axe many, many times and walked from his home to Ironton, MO.,where he cut cordwood for 30 cents a cord in order to buy necessary food for himself and his loved ones at home who now survive him. Uncle Saul has been a man of great endurance and always believed in a square deal to all men and practiced his belief with all men whom he came in contact with.
Uncle Saul has been almost helpless for about 3 years and his wife bedfast for the last 2 years. Their daughter Melvina, has cared for them throughout their illnesses and she is truly worthy of great commendation. Uncle Saul was the oldest citizen of Madison County and was loved by all who knew him. He was always the man that would lose five dollars than to take one from any man. On Sunday morning Sept 30th 1917, over 300 people came to the home of Uncle Saul to pay their last respects to the memory of their friend and neighbor.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev J L Brooks of Brunot, interment was in the Brewington Cemetery.

Do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it, hoping through the merits, death and passion of my saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of sins, and inherit everlasting life, and my body I commit to earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor hereinafter named. Nothing doubting but at the General resurrection, I shall receive the same again, by the Mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give, devise, and dispose of the same in the following manner, and that is to say, I first will that all those debts and duties that I owe to any manner
