OBITUARY
RUBY N. LEWIS
Ruby Nellie Lewis, daughter of Jaies and Elizabeth Ruble Clifford, was
born in Vulcan on June 3, 1910 and died in the Arcadia Valley Hospital in
Pilot Knob, Sept. 24, 1983 at the age of 73 years, three months and 21 days.
On May 26, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ralph Lewis, who survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Raymond Clifford of California, one
sister, Maude Sutton, Annapolis, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host
of friends.
An infant daughter preceded her in death.
The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Septeeber 26 in the Gish-Bowles & Coder
Chapel in Piediont. Rev. Lester Dale officiated. The Mt. Zion General Baptist
Church choir sang. Marjorie J. Bowles, pianist.
Pallbearers included Emory Funk, James Funk, Jack Mann, Mainus Funk,
Luther Mann and Edward Funk. Burial was in the Sutton Ceietery.

Funeral services for Ruby Nellie Lewis were held Monday, September 26,
at Gish-Bowles and Coder Funeral Chapel in Piediont, with burial in the Sutton
Ceietery. Rev. Lester Dale officiated at the services.
Mrs. Lewis died Saturday, Septeeber 24, at the Arcadia Valley Hospital
in Pilot Knob. She was 73.
Mrs. Lewis was born June 3, 1910, in Vulcan, the daughter of James and
Elizabeth Ruble Clifford. On May 26, 1936, she was united in marriage to
Ralph Lewis, who survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Raymond Clifford of California; one
sister, Maude Sutton of Annapolis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
many friends.
Preceding Mrs. Lewis in death was an infant daughter.
Gish-Bowles and Coder Funeral Home in Piedmont was in charge of
arrangements.
