OBITUARY
James O. Lewis, Sr., of 2715 3rd Ave. South, Texas City, died Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital of Galveston County.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eiken-Linton Funeral Hoye in Texas City, the Rev. Frank Skillern officiating.
Burial will be at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
Mr. Lewis was born July 27, 1907, in Flat River, Mo., and was a retired guard.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell L. Lewis of Texas City; a step-mother, Mrs. Myrtle Lewis of Ironton, Mo.; step-daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B.P. Lewis of Texas City; a brother, Darwin Lewis of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Naomi Zager of Columbia, Mo., and Yvonne Elrod of Piedmont, Mo.; four granddaughters, Sharon Jackson and Pat Klopp, both of Alta Low, Brenda Dennis of Texas City, Octivia Pearson of L.A., and Rachel Lewis of Texas City; a grandson, Paul Lewis Jr. of Texas City; sister-in-law, Beulah Edler of Texas City; two brothers-in-law, O.E. Coleman of Dayton, Texas, and D.C. Colesan of Orange, Texas; nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Visitors may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Monday.
