- Benton - Oma Zena Diamond, 69 years old, of Benton, died Monday at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 8, 1923, in Rena, Ark., the daughter of Dennis and Ora Freeman Hopkins. She and Wayne Diamond were married Apr. 3, 1937, at Benton.
Mrs. Diamond was a cook at Kelly High School for 31 years.
Survivors include her husband; mother, Ora Skeeley; a son, Larry Diamond; two daughters, Norma Kidd and Fern Schrenkenberg; a sister, Mary Gulch; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Burial will be in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.
