Funeral services for Alvin W. Dodge, 64-year-old resident of Ironton, were held March 13 at Cady Funeral Home.
Mr. Dodge died March 11 at his home, 713 Russell Street.
Burial was in the National cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, with the Rev. Kenny Powers officiating. Raymond Scott was organist for the services.
Mr. Dodge was born Nov. 28, 1921, in St. Louis, and resided in Ironton for seven years, moving here from Kirkwood in 1979. He was a carpenter, and a member of the Black Baptist Church, Black.
On Aug. 11, 1941, he married Rena W. Chilton, who survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Hazel Dodge, one son, Stephen, of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Ellaina Semifero, Cedar Hill, and Mrs. Belinda Harris, Hillsboro; three brothers, Locke, Arnold; Edwin, Manchester, and Arthur, Webster Groves; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Ritchey, Ellisville; and Mrs. Shirley Kovacf, Webster Groves. Mr. Dodge is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cady Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
