- Randall “Randy” Dee Lewis, 72, of Belleville, Illinois passed away September 18, 2020. Randy was born on June 23, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Devern and Mary Ellen, nee Raper, Lewis. Randy attended Belleville West High School. After dropping out, Randy later joined the United States Marine Corp at the age of 18, then went to Vietnam. A week later after he can home he married Rose on October 30, 1967, and started a family of their own. Randy proved to be a hard-working, family-man, who enjoyed camping, and remained active in the Roofers’ Union for almost 45 years--and will truly be missed.
Reuniting with Randy in Heaven are his: parents, Devern and Mary Ellen Lewis; siblings, Gary D. Lewis, Kerry D. Lewis, Lavern (Ed) Snyder, and Rebecca K. Wartenbe; and brother-in-law, Ricky Jones.
Left to hold Randy in their hearts are his: wife, Rose Marie, nee Juengel, Lewis; children, Randall D. (Heather) Lewis Jr, Dawn M. (Mike) Reinkemeyer, and Randall A. (Amber) Lewis; siblings, Lorraine Jones, Steven Lewis, and Lavonne (Don) Edwards; brother-in-law, Randy Wartenbe; grandchildren, Ethan, Lily, Emma, Grayson, and Jacob; great-grandson, Nik; and many other loved family and friends.
Due to the current nature of the times, a small burial and service will occur privately at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
