- Marjorie H. Leimbach, 80, died March 11, 1998, in a local hospital.
Born in Lenoir, N.C., Mrs. Leimbach had retired as a statistician supervisor with the Naval Air Station, Norfolk. She was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church where she actively participated in Lutheran Church Women. She was also a member of Christian Women's Club, NARF Chapter No. 974, Grand Squares Square Dancing Club and Tuesday Night Round Dance Club. She was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Leimbach; a daughter, Denise Forbes of Virginia Beach; two stepdaughters, Janet Mutchler and her husband, Les, of Virginia Beach and Gayle Elliott and her husband, John, of Weare, N.H.; three sisters, Jewell Winkler of Lenoir, N.C., Betty Tomsic of Sanford, Fla., and Nicki King of Raswell, Ga.; two brothers, Jerry Hall of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ralph Hall of Lenoir, N.C.; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Our Saviour Lutheran Church by Pastor Ken Carbaugh. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to EVMS Diabetic Institute and Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
