- Per grandson-in-law Jon Lewis (husband of Susan Lynn Keriakos):
Pelagea Delardos’s father’s name was Nick or Nicolaus. Her maiden name was Limneous. She did not have a middle name. (Native Greeks generally did/do not use middle names. What sometimes appears between the given name and the surname is not a middle name, but the given name of the person’s father. That explains how the Nic Limneous appeared on a record.) Susan’s mom is certain that Pelagea was born in 1908 and that she was twenty when she and Stelios were married in 1928. Pelagea was 88 when she died in 1996. Susan’s mom said they likely gave the wrong birth year to immigration so she would seem older—particularly due to the age gap between her and Stelios.
