Mary Huff was the daughter of Joseph Curran Huff, III, Sr. & Louvina Kear. She was born in Madison County, MO. I found her one of two girls between the age of 5-10 (Mary & Sally) in 1840 Madison Co. census records and in 1850 as a 17y/o.
Some time after that census she after she married Elias Lane, son of Randolph & Biddy Lane. Her sister Diana Huff also married into the Lane family - Elias brother Rev. Isaac Lane. By July 14, 1860 in Iron Co., MO she & Elias are enuerated with their 5 children: Sarah M., Isaac, Benjamin N., Irvin & Biddy.
Land Records of Randolph Co., AR, 21 May 1869, show that her husband bought 20 acres of land for $50.00.
After Elias' death in April 1890, she married James W. Ford in Randoloph Co., Ar 24 July 1894. She was 50y/o living in Elm Store, AR & Mr.Ford was 66 y/o of Pocahontas, AR.
I believe she remained in the Elm Store, AR for the rest of her life.
