  	Nora Verna Engelbrecht, 96, of Owensville died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Frene Valley Healthcare South in Owensville. Nora was born in Rosebud, July 5, 1914, a daughter of the late Augusta (Breckenkamp) and George Koester. On June 27, 1943, at St. James United Church of Christ in Charlotte she was united in marriage to Gerhardt Engelbrecht. She was a member of the Zion-St. Paul United Church of Christ in Bay where she was also a member of the Women's Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhardt; brother, Julius Koester; sisters, Ella Hempelmann, Alma Koester, Edna Wehmeyer and Florence Koester. Her survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Sergent and husband George of Annandale, Virginia and Elizabeth Fischer and husband David of Columbia, Mo.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at the Zion-St. Paul United Church of Christ in Bay with Rev. Fred Brandenburg officiating. Burial was in the Zion Cemetery in Bay.
