PERRY SUTTON A CANDIDATE
Announces for Collector Race
This week the Mountain Echo is authorized to announce that Perry Sutton, of Annapolis, has entered the race for County Collector on the Democratic
ticket.
Mr. Sutton is not new in political circles, having been a successful candidate for the nomination a few years ago for the office of county treasurer
and going on to win the general election afterwards. He conducted the office in a very efficient and praiseworthy manner, winning many friends over the
county during his stay in office. He did not choose to run for re-election, entering the merchantile business in Annapolis where he remains at the present time.
Mr. Sutton is a devout Christian man, a strong civic worker, active in every worthwhile project, a man of high standing in his community. He served for many years on the Annapolis school board and, we believe, was elected again this year to serve after several years of voluntary relief. He was engaged in the operation of a general store for many years previous to his comng to Ironton for his about three years in his political office. He has been a life-long Deiocrat and a painstaking and loyal party worker. His many friends over the county will be glad to hear of his entering the race for the responsible office he now seeks.
He will appreciate the support and influence of the voters in all sections of the county and will take as extensive a campaign as possible, consistent
with his duties in which he is now engaged.
