- Gilbert 0. Schwarz, 63, Fergus Falls Route 1, died at his home in Dane Prairie Township on Saturday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald Knick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born in Dieterich, 111. on Feb. 10,1911, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Schwarz. He married Meta A. Struck on June 9, 1932, in Breckenridge. The couple farmed in Meadows Township until 1949 when they moved to Dane Prairie Township. He was active in 4-H clubs in both Wilkin and Otter Tail Counties.
Mr. Schwarz is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Bymers, Granite Falls; Mrs. Kenneth (Luella) Hintermeister, Rochester; Mrs. James (Linda) DePaolo, East Grand Forks; three sons, Leonard, Underwood; Lloyd, Glenwood; Larry, at home. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Walter (Ellen) Dietz, Rothsay. He leaves 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. There will be a prayer service Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in tho fneral chapel.
