- Mrs. Hanna Brinkmann, 88, of Hope, died at her home near Hope on Jan. 21, 1971 after a brief illness. Services were held Saturday, Jan. 23rd at Salem Presbyterian Church. She was one of ten children born to Gottlieb and Wilhelmina Wollbrink Hilkerbaumer in the Charlotte community on January 11, 1883. At the age of 13, she was confirmed in the St. James Evangelical Church. On May 16, 1918, she was married to Henry Brinkmann, who died March 14, 1941. A step-son, Victor Brinkman, preceded her in death. Survivors include: two sons - Francis Brinkman of Morrison and Harry Hilkebaumer of Hope; four step-children - Clarence Brinkmann of Morrison; Mrs. Martin Holtensmeyer of Corder; Alfred Brinkmann of Sappington; Mrs. Herbert Kurrelmeyer of Bay; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Hope-Salem Cemetery."
