- It is believed ‘Hannah’s mother’ died giving birth to Moses Jr in 1788. ‘I think’ Hannah sort’a adopted Moses Ashbrook Jr. Then after the death of Moses Sr, his father in 1807? Moses Jr, he lived with Nicholas and Hannah Woodfin in Fosterville, TN - He stayed with them until the TN Governor’s call up for war of 1812. (Ft Mims, Al etc) Moses Jr, was in the ‘11 Troop’ under Andrew Jackson’s Militia. (See attachment) After returning, he moved to Cape Girardeau, Mo - to meet up with his older brother George W. Ashbrook. He was later found in Pike County, Ark as a carpenter.
