Lewis, “George Lewis Descendants”, published October 1992: !OBITUARY Walter Harvey Lashley, formerly of Des Arc, passed away on September 2, 1992 at his home in Chandler, Texas. He was born August IB, 1916, at Des Arc. On June 27, 1936 he married Thelma Cole. She survives. In 1980 he married Elizabeth Lashley of the home. She survives. Other survivors are four sons and four daughters: Joyce D. Montgomery of Poplar Bluff, Peggy J. Muffett of Harviell, Sallie J. Schackelford of Texas, John A. Lashley of Ivan, Utah, Terry Dale Lashley of Wes Lakco, Texas and Daniel D. Lashley of Poplar Bluff; two stepdaughters Frankie Abercombie of Frisco, Texas and Mary of Texas; 29 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two sons and one daughter, James Eugene Lashley, Amos Stanley Lashley and Nancy Jane Lashley. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery September 4 at Tyler, Texas.
