    Ruth A. Harre, 77 of Auburn passed on to heaven Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 at her home.

    She was born Aug. 13, 1940 in St. Louis, the daughter of William and Gladys Heseman Schoder.

    She married Richard R. Harre on July 31, 1966 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson, MO.

    Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law, Margene Reves, three brothers in law, Bill Harre, Ken Harre, and Kevin Harre, and one niece Traci Pelczinski.

    Ruth graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis and then went to Concordia University in Chicago receiving her bachelor degree in education. She worked for Lutheran Grade Schools, Auburn Elementary School, and the Hope Institute in Springfield. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, Trinity Lutheran Women’s Guild, Trinity Choir, and Girls Night Out. Ruth enjoyed traveling, golfing, and visiting with family and friends in her free time.

    Surviving are her husband, Rev. Richard R. Harre; two sons, Mike Harre of Kankakee and Jeff (Janelle) Harre of Dunlap; four grandchildren, Samantha, Kaden, Katelyn, and Lucas; seven sisters in law, Midge Harre, Cindy Harre, Sue Harre, Marilyn (Syl) Stiegman, Marcile (Ron) Jack, Phyllis (Rodney) Silger, and Deb (Brad) Meyer; one brother in law, Daniel (Barbara) Harre; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

    Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till time of services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Martin Kaufmann officiating.

    Burial will follow at Auburn Cemetery.

    Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Auburn or the charity of the donor’s choice.
