    Isaac was the son of Randolph & Biddy Lane. He married Dianna Huff on March 15, 1854 in Missouri. Their only child was Joseph Lafayette Lane. Isaac was ordained a Minister by the Church of Big Creek in Madison Co., MO on Oct. 16, 1856 by David B. Breiven & Andrew J. Vance, Ministers of the Gospel. He played the important role of moderator when the Concord Association and Bethel Association met to receive new churches in 1858. He was, again, moderator in 1860 when a group of churches in Iron Co., MO organized an association called the Central Missouri Association. He was one of the ministers present on Oct. 16, 1875 when the Wayne County (Missouri) Association was organized.

    Joseph was born on Big Creek in Iron Co., to Rev. Isaac and Dianah(Huff) Lane and an only child. He married Belle Coulter 1876 in Piedmont, MO. They had 9 children, 2 died in infancy. His wife,two sons and five daughters survive him. He was ordained in 1905 and preached his last sermon Nov. 1911.
