!BIOGRAPHY

Henry Ruble married Malinda Skiles on April 20,1845. Henry homesteaded and received land grants for approximately 240 acres of land near Vulcan in Wayne County, Missouri in Section 1 and 6 of townships 30 N and Range 3 and 4 E, in 1854 and 1856. Henry and Malinda raised their family in Vulcan, Iron County, Missouri. They were the parents of Joseph, James, William, John, Stacy, Henry, Andrew, Thomas, LeRoy, Martha, and Jane Ruble. Henry Ruble was a farmer and blacksmith. Henry and Malinda are buried in Sutton Cemetery near Vulcan.

Their son, Andrew Ruble, was born November 10, 1857. He Married Kizzy Lewis on Tuesday, September 9, 1877. They had ten children. Andrew died on December 13, 1901. He is buried in Sutton Cemetery near Vulcan, Iron County, Missouri. (Source: A book called THE FAMILY OF JOSEPH RUBLE AND STACY McCRAY RUBLE 1797 1961. !OBITUARY

Andy Ruble died Friday morning. He was a good man, but he had his faults and weaknesses like other men; he was charitable and very liberal to churches and all religious causes, and always ready to help the poor and needy; he was
one of the best sill men in this country. He leaves a wife and several children to Mourn his loss. Before he died he called then to his and asked the children to take care of their mother. He was 42 years old. Peace to his soul. (DES ARC NEWS column Thursday, December 19, 1901)
