Do You Remember?
By LEE L. ALBERT

Do you remember— The Thourkauf Bakery at the corner of Broadway and Sprigg streets where the Cape Cut Rate Drugstore is now?

Wm. Thourkauf and his son, Fritz, were the owners and operators. Fritz had a wagon route to serve his many customers. He would ring his little dinner bell to let his customers know he was in the neighborhood. Fritz always had a cookie for the little folks.

One of the Thourkauf girls married Edward F. Regenhardt and they had a number of descendants now living in this area, including our postmaster, Ted R. Regenhardt.
